Kaycee has become a vegan blog-o-sphere and outreach wizard. Recently she has been really working to network with other vegans all over the country to form a community of compassionate, conscious, and caring readers. She is constantly creating new and surprising recipes that are tasty for vegans and meat eaters alike as well as completely accessible for the everyday kitchen and cook. Her blog and recipes have been featured in various online publications and websites including vegweb . She posts tons of delicious hand crafted and easy to make recipes, does giveaways, reviews products and restaurants, and posts vegan news related items. She also participates and plans various vegan and animal rights related activities (many of which I also attend)including pot lucks, dinners, protests, petitions, letter writing, 5k's, cooking nights and classes and a panoply of other activities. She and some vegans she has met through her networking have started a veg community blog that is sure to be a great exercise in community consciousness and activism.
Her hard work and dedication are definitely paying off and her efforts are not going unnoticed. She is quoted and referenced (and pictured on the side there) in a great issue on veganism in Utah's own In This Week and even has a really yummy soup recipe featured there as well! The article lays out, in a very non veg/reader friendly way, some benefits of a vegan lifestyle from health to animals to environmental perks. It also has great recipes, veg blogs, local veg eateries, and helpful books and sites for those who are interested in more info, including the book The China Study which greatly influenced my lifestyle choices and outlooks on health and food.
I suggest everyone check out the article as well as Kaycee's efforts, you wont be disappointed.
Congrats Kayc! Keep spreading the positive message!
