So Full of Love

Sometimes, rarely, a person will do something so reaffirming of the goodness that still does exist in the world that you can't help but feel an immense appreciation for the caring ability of human beings.

I am happy to know people who can floor me so with selfless actions. Instances that actually make me stop, compose myself, and really reflect on what it means to love someone, to be there for someone, and to do so without a second thought or inkling of the personal sacrifice that may be required.

Surrounding oneself with people like this, capable of so much good, solidifies the notion that life is too short to keep company of any lower caliber. It additionally brings to light the impermanence and fragility of all of our intermingled interaction and attempts at communication. Even though relationships can be so fleeting, recognizing and savoring the moments together, the kind that connect us or remind us that humanity is not lost, can put a shining perspective on the way things actually are.
